MappingCreating accurate broadband maps is one of the first steps to promoting broadband expansion and technology growth in Florida. The Connect Florida mapping initiative is working closely with multiple broadband providers from across the state to develop a variety of broadband inventory maps for public use. Currently, broadband is defined as Internet service with advertised speeds of at least 768 Kbps downstream and 200 Kbps upstream. These maps, which contain data in beta version, are representative of Florida’s broadband infrastructure and highlight where broadband is and is not available. Connect Florida will continue to update and refine these maps as more data are gathered from consumers like you, to most accurately reflect the current broadband landscape. The public plays a key role in verifying the information that is represented on the maps. We encourage Florida residents to tell us about your broadband availability by taking this short survey. To learn more about the maps and our methodology, you may view our FAQ page. Thank you for taking the time to participate and review the progress. Questions regarding the maps and data collection can be directed to maps@connect-florida.org.
