Pan

The Pan tool allows you to shift the map image relative to the display window without changing the viewing scale.

 

  1. In the Tools and Map Navigation menu, click the Pan tool.

  1. Click and hold down the left mouse button.

  2. Drag the map in the direction you want to view on the map display.

  3. When the map display shows your area of interest, release the left mouse button.

 

The display is now centered on a new area of interest. The pan tool changes the display field without adjusting the viewing scale.
