The Roads layer includes a seamless, multi-scale street map with highway-level data for the world and major-road-level data for the United States. The map is intended for display at small-to-medium scales (i.e., down to ~1:150,000 scale).
The Road layer is well suited for visually locating places and addresses around the United States. The Road Layer can serve as a useful basemap for regional and local data layers.
Point your mouse over the Tools and Map Navigation tool bar.
Click the Road Layer option. The display now shows the Street map layer.
Note: By default, the application is in the Roads Layer.
